Champagne Safari 10 - Poster

Every year, at Christmas time,  we set up a drag show at The Tivoli in Helsingborg, Sweden, and this year it’s our ten year anniversary. “Champagne Safari 10″ is not a best of, it’s a dedication to our own work, to The Tivoli and most of all to the people that comes and sees us year after year. Most of the acts in the show is a flashback through the years , but some are new.

One Night Only At Studio 54 - Poster

For the drag show of 2008, we got the inspiration from the 70′s. The synopsis is that the two sisters from the Swedish movie Sällskapsresan is about to go on a summer vacation in Nueva Estocolmo on Gran Canaria, but when the gate signs got mixed up, they board the wrong plane and end up in New York instead.

In the city that doesn’t sleep, they went to the legendary nightclub Studio 54, were they party along with the celebrities of the 70′s.

We made 14 shows from the 27th of November to 20th of December 2008 at The Tivoli in Helsingborg, Sweden, and it was our ninth year there on that same stage. They were all all sold out.

Welcome To The 60's - Poster

Every year, around Christmas, Champagne Safari puts up a show and this years show, the eight, got the inspiration from the sixties. The clothes, the music, the style – everything was so swinging sixties.

The synopsis was that a Swedish girl, left her lover in Sweden and went to America to learn how to by a hairdresser. A sixties hairdresser. She got a job at Big Hair, but she couldn’t forget her Swedish boy. And he couldn’t forget about her.

We made 13 shows from the 30th of November to 22th of December 2008 at The Tivoli in Helsingborg, Sweden, and it was our eight year there on that same stage. They were all all sold out.

The summer 2007 was great! At the big annual city festival Helsingborgsfestivalen at the end of the July, we had a really big stage to preform on.

Right outside The Tivoli on Hamntorget, we put up six shows, two each day, and the big tent was big enough for ~2.500 guests. The six shows all together was viewed by ~12.000 people and many of them booked tickets to your Christmas show “Welcome To The 60′s” later that year.

This is my first show with the drag show group Champagne Safari, but it’s the groups seventh show in a row at The Tivoli, Helsingborg (Sweden).

The first act was our version of what would, or could, happen one normal night in Paris, where the decadence, hunger och sexual tension is really big. The second act was a Christmas calendar with 24 surprises with most Swedish acts.
