Before I joined the great drag show group Champagne Safari, I took several months to think about it. I was approached with the proposal to join the goup in May 2006, but it wasn’t until August I decided to accept the invitation.
It had nothing to do with that Champagne Safari was a drag show group, even though I would only have male characters as an actor and dancer, it was because Champagne Safari is a very, very good show group. “What could I have to offer them?” was my big issue. I though that I was nothing, had done nothing compared to what they’ve done. They were an established show group, I was only an amateur actor and definitely not a dancer.
After getting over this big personal question, the answer was right in front of me. Clear as day. I accepted the invitation to join the show group and I’m glad that I took that decision. Champagne Safari is a big journey, a great conquest and definitely a personal growth.
